West Highland Way - på vandring i Skotland

164 km i Skotland

Scotland - West Highland Way - Spam - Day 1+2.

Reflections over the 48,31 km I walked the first days:

- Even the simple tasks in life can end out in difficulties and pain - be prepared and aware.

- Pain can be in the heart or in the legs - it is the same solution that solves it. The feeling of pain is built in the head. Force myself to keep on going, let it bleed, take some painkillers and keep on going, life can't continue without pain, keep on walking until your head gets filled up with joy and hapiness.

Don't give up, just because my knee was bad, and my feet sore (after the trip I got a knee replacement).

Scotland - West Highland Way - Spam - Day 3+4.

Reflections over the 44,43 km I walked the next days:

- Don't listen when others tell you a path is hard and difficult, make my own experiences and find out that what others find hard can be fun and a blessing to me.

- I learned how much the SoMe can create a distance to those close and important to me, just to get in contact with people on social media.

Scotland - West Highland Way - Spam - Day 5+6.

Reflections over the 45,96 km I walked the next days:

- The longest distance is not always the hardest.

- Sometimes my words are not enough, if they are met with silence.

- Even when it rains, the beauty of life seems to find its way into my life.

- To understand the important things in life is dependent on the ability and willingness to understand eachother.

Skotland - West Highland Way - Spam - Day 7 - and the train-trip to Edinbourgh

Reflections over the 25,51 km I walked the last day:

- To know when my journey is coming to an end and another has to begin is hard.

- the satisfaction of completing a journey makes every journey worthwhile - and I think I'm ready to start my new way of life.
